Daybed Sofa

I recently built a Daybed Sofa for one of my neighbors. I built it out of Maple Plywood and some 4 X 4 Douglas Fir timbers. It was a lot of fun to put together, and I learned a few things about furniture construction. It also was a great chance to use a couple of different tools.

Farmhouse Side Table

I recently built a Farmhouse style side table for our living room. It has a rectangular shape and is about sofa height. I made it from a 4 X 4 Douglas Fir timber that I ran through the table saw and cut into smaller boards. It was a fun project and has been a nice addition to our living room.

Kitchen Bench

This past winter I built a kitchen bench. We wanted a bench that was in an older style with small heart shapes on either side. We also wanted it to double as a shelf for cookbooks. The end product was a classic style bench, that has made our kitchen window look great.

Wooden Lamp

I recently saw a small wooden lamp on etsy that I thought would be fun to build. I had some leftover pinewood that was already cut into small lengths, and so I basically cut down the pieces and built a wooden structure that ended up looking really nice with a lamp inside. I named this the "tesseract" after the marvel movie object, but either way it's a fun project and a nice addition to any living room.

Bookshelf

Recently we did some reorganization at home, and I also unpacked an older box that had several books from college. I loved these books since a lot of them have memories of my first courses etc. so I wanted to put them in a bookshelf somewhere in my office. I had some leftover hardwood plywood sheets from a project, and I though that'd be a good use for them. I built a bookshelf with the leftover plywood, and then gave it a nice painted finish.

Shell Box

Over the summer we went to the beach and gathered several shells. I wanted a fun way to display them, and thought it would be cool to build a small "shadow box" style project. I also had some leftover pine wood scraps which I put to good use. The end result was a great decorative box for shells (or anything else you may want to display).

Wooden Stool

This past summer I needed a guitar stool. I wanted one that was a little taller than normal, so I decided to build one on my own. The stool in this post could be used for any purpose, I just specifically was building it for playing guitar.

Building a Porch Bench and Side Table

I recently built a bench and side table for our porch. This replaced a set of chairs we had originally. This project was entirely done with 2 X4s and was a lot of fun to put together. In this post, I'll share how I built this (and had fun too).

Building a Miter Saw Table

I recently got a Dewalt Miter Saw and needed a platform to mount it on. I also wanted one that was mobile so that I could move it around the garage and really anywhere I needed to use it. This post covers the table that I built and how I put it together.
